Here’s a good analysis of Dexter, pondering the difficulty of staying true to an anti-hero in episodic television. But don’t read it if you haven’t been watching Dexter. Plot points are scattered like shot gun pellets.
Not Mine. Craig Terlson’s. I was thinking about seeing this movie. Hermits plan their schedules with great care, and we won’t leave the house without a fire at our backside or a very bright light with heat at the front. It sounds like No Country For Old Men offers plenty of both.
Craig ends his review with a quote from the movie, which I won’t mention here. But it’s a good one. When it’s time for me to depart this world, and if I have the time and breath, I think I’ll quote it.

If I abruptly end this post, my apologies. It’s hard to write when your pants are on fire.
The buyers just had the home inspection of our home and discovered that our box o’ circuit breakers is a fire waiting to happen.
Apparently a sneeze can set it off, if it contains enough amps. The inspector declined to even open the panel door, lest a spark grow to full size before his eyes; a door that I’ve snapped open many times, never suspecting I was striking a lethal flint.
And because we own a duplex, that’s two of these Fires In a Can.
Not to spoil your day, but if your home was built in the 70s, you might want to tip toe into the basement and gingerly run a flash light beam across the front of your electric panel. If you see the words Federal Pacific, back away slowly then run for your lives.
Or sit on the couch and write a blog post.
I don’t usually watch sports, but I enjoyed the video of Trinity University winning its game against Millsaps College, using a play designed by the Harlem Globetrotters.
But according to Bob Harris, I should have trotted the Globe a bit further for the true comparison.
